Do you know a great place to buy shoes?

Calling all ladies!

I am in desperate search of a place to buy a good pair of high heels, and wondered if any other EF members had tips they could share

I have already seen many posts regarding Navyboot (although I got a pair in the sale and I am very happy with them). I have been down Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich, and in town in Bern, but is there somewhere hiding away that I (and other shoe-loving EF members) might have missed?

Please share, you can never have too many pairs of shoes

P.S. Men, please dont feel left out - I wouldnt want to be accused of sexism. If you would like to share where you buy your high-heels, please go ahead.

Re: Do you know a great place to buy shoes?

I'm a Bruno Magli freak! Unfortunately, they closed down in Zurich a while ago, but it appears that they still have a shop in Basel:

Sorry - just checked Magli's homepage and it appears that the only two stores left in Europe are in Berlin and Moscow!!!

Navyboot. Gorgeous Italian shoes. Both men and women.

Ah no, and I was just in the middle of planning my trip to Basel!

And the search begins again...

If you fancy a pair of killer heels then try Karen Millen

They have stores in Zurich and Geneva.

Re: Do you know a great place to buy shoes?

I like Stuart Weitzman shoes. There is a store across from Jelmoli (where you would enter the parking garage) and I managed to get a fantastic pair of black pumps for half price.

I haven't had a whole lot of luck finding quality, sturdy and comfortable shoes suitable to wear out at night and with a suit, so I am interested to see what everyone says!

Re: Do you know a great place to buy shoes?

Globus has a great selection and their store brand is usually quite good and stylish.
CoopCity has a terrific selection (especially German brands) and their salespeople aren't pushy.
Peter Kaiser shoes are incredibly comfortable and last forever.
Good luck!

oops! You're in Bern aren't you? The stores I mentioned are in Zurich (although Coop is everywhere, the one in Zurich is especially good for shoes)
