Seeking swiss climber JM Kuiper

Gooday.

This is a somewhat unusual request, and I hope it isn't off topic here, but it seemed a likely sort of place to try, so here goes.

I am trying to locate a Swiss national who holidayed in Australia in the early 90s who I befriended called Jean Mark Kuiper. We have lost contact, and I would really like to reach him again. The reason I am posting here is because some of the few pieces of information I know about him is that he is a rock climber and a dentist. If anyone knows of a likely suspect, or can think of a better method to find him and help me to get a message to him, could you please drop me a line? Any well read swiss climbing blogs or similar that might be a better place to post?

Details I am aware of:

Name: Jean Marc Kuiper (JM)
Age: About 40
Distinguishing features: Very Tall, blonde hair
Further Information: Rock Climber, was married to Anne Kuiper, lived in Sydney, Australia for about a year in the late eighties / early nineties, and climbed extensively in the Blue mountains around Sydney
Unsure of what city in Switzerland he is currently living in.

I'm suspect this will be fruitless, and I'm sorry if this is an off topic post, but I have already tried a fair few other methods without any luck, so thought I would try some more unorthodox ones.

Thanks for your time in reading this, and for any assistance you are able to offer.

Re: Seeking swiss climber JM Kuiper

www.directories.ch turns up a few "Kuipers" - perhaps one of them is related?

I have to say, Kuiper sounds more Dutch than Swiss.

Cheers,
Nick

Re: Seeking swiss climber JM Kuiper

Thanks for the suggestion and link Nick, but no joy in the directory listing for me. I don't wish to go so far as cold calling strangers individually, and language would be a barrier for me. Hence the shotgun approach. As I said, it may not have any success, but nothing ventured...

You may be right, Kuiper may be of Dutch origin, but JM told me he was Swiss.

Bruce
