Photo-CD (picture-cd) from "fresh" film (w/o ordering paper copies)

Hi There!

does anyone know if it is possible to get film developed and only get a photo-cd without having to order "hard-copies" of the pics?

I don't want to sound cheap but I think having to pay CHF 25 per roll of film it's a bit much. do you know of a cheaper place than Foto Pro Ganz?

Thanks in advance

film? What's that?

There are online shops like ifolor.ch etc. But if you want a CD in the end, just get a DSLR - it is much cheaper when you do not have to pay for film, processing and prints... FotoGanz is one of the more expensive places IMHO.

I can't afford a fisheye lens yet, so I have to play with one of those toy fisheye film cameras.

Oh come on, how tempting is it to say, "I thought you knew it all"?

I've used this service before and they were very good. Delivery is worldwide:

I asked them not to give a hard copy as it was unnecessary and they had no problem with it.

You can sometimes find fisheye adapters at camera fairs - depends on what size filter threads you have on your lenses.

For CDs from film, try contacting Fotomaxx

Not quite!!

Here's a shot I took in July after coming back from a three day assignment in the French part of Switzerland.

I shot 59 films (although only about 40 or so are visible on this pic.)

A year or two back, I bought a Russian fisheye lens for my Canon. It was extremely reasonably priced and I'm pleased with the results. They're available in most popular fittings.

Here's the Foto Walser website from where I purchased it.
