wine rack from PET bottles

A few weeks ago I read somewhere about someone recycling PET bottles into wine-racks. Quite possibly it was in 20min or Blick Am Abend.

I didn't need a wine-rack then, I do now and I think this would be a cool thing to have. Does anyone remember or know anything about this?

I know it's vague. But umm.... that's all I remember

I'm based in Zurich, so it would've been the Zurich versions of these papers.

Does this ring anyone's bell??

I didn't know you kept any wine, let alone enough wine to necessitate a wine-rack ?

What about Sprite-drinking expertise, should I decide to make my own wine-rack?

Re: wine rack from PET bottles

Wine rack from PET bottles sounds like good redneck engineering.

Just like a trashcan smoker ...

Hi, try Einzigart http://www.einzigart.ch/index2.php
When I was last in there they had a bunch of products made from PET bottles, but was not able to see them on the website when I had a quick look.

Ding dong ! Seriously though i would imagine if you get a good sturdy box, cardboard or better still plastic, then insert until full 1.5 ltre water bottles that are empty with the tops cut off, you can store your wine in them.

Re: wine rack from PET bottles

This rack was like as you described but it wasn't in any box. The PET bottles were somehow glued together with seemingly very transparent glue. This is what made it so nice.

BTW - nice to see an old thread revived
