I have been trying to research this for some time, but am unable to find some concrete information. I heard you are allowed 3 plants, but I get the feeling that that's not strictly legally true.

Anyone know some reliable sources or have some information they could share?

Thanks for the information!

Gosh .. how timely is your thread?! .... I just finished perusing the last two pages of the "How inconsiderate Smokers are" thread .... and here you are ...... wanting to know about Cannabis growing!

Does that come under the same heading as "cigarette smoke"...? or you just asking about the general growing statutes..?

Why?
(sorry, I have to waffle a bit cause I just got a little notey saying my post was too short with just that one word and so now I think it will be acceptable) ...... Just read the first word.

Ja ... It is a very healthy plant!

And good for lots of different medicinal remedies.

You can do SO much with it .... you just not allowed to SMOKE it.

How inconsiderate smokers are? I'll have to check that thread out.

General cultivation laws. I tried researching, but can only find information on possession - which obviously is illegal

It certainly has.

"Does anyone know a site that has the most up-to-date information regarding cannabis in CH? Also where can one find seeds to possibly grow her own supply?"

Different question though.

I`ve seen beautiful magnificent specimens of "Dagga" plants sold in shops here ...... they just have no "drug" in them, they are purely ornamental (shock value for visitors?)....... so if one had a couple of those and then a "real" one or two amongst them ... who is going to microscope and drug test them...?

What about just asking a member of the Polizei ..huh?...huh..?......... they should know what their laws are?$

Just remember ... you must not mention the word "smoke" ..... it is verboten to smoke anywhere there are people, inside, outside, anywhere! Outside the people get you, and inside the polizei get you, and anywhere else you will probably get struck down by lightening.

^^this

I play my sport 3 times a week, hit the gym 3-4 times a week, go for daily morning jogs, non-smoker, rarely drink... In my eyes I'm healthier than the majority of the Swiss population.

A very good friend of mine grew some on the understanding it was OK / tolerated to grow it and possess it but not to sell. 'Don't ask - don't tell' is the motto, I sense
But this is only the case since about 2006, before that you seemed to be able to buy easily, including over the internet at the deceased hanf.ch

It's beyond me why police in any country bother trying to stop people smoking it ... but when things are on the political agenda and not of the mainstream then they are a threat, I guess

Re: Growing cannabis

I understand one is not allowed to harvest nor sell the crop, but as ever multa cadunt inter calicem supremaque labra, dude.

The cops in Zurich have taken a stricter line over the last few years, and will stop and search if they believe you're smoking dope. The consequences won't be severe if one isn't dealing. How you behave when apprehended will have a considerable impact on what occurs: they're likely to ask you to stub it out and share the multipack of doughnuts in your bag.

Re: Growing cannabis

Hemp is grown as a commercial product, however it is modified version of the plant with practically no THC content. I've seen a field of it growing at the side of a car park at a tourist/day-out destination.

Here is a link to a company in CH that produces it for essential oil:

I can't properly chill if my j is rolled with non-opioid family herbs. What's the law on a few grams of white heroin?

Re: Growing cannabis

Yup, cool think this thread popped up as I was going to have to ask anyway so anybody with advice, please let me know.

I am specifically thinking about it from the point of view where in the U.S.A. you can get it for stress relief in quite a few states now and here recently they passed that law about alternative healthcare. It just seems to me that a cup of tea made with weed or some space cake is a much better solution to stress than valium or whatever pills they are dolling out now-days.

There's the Cannatrade fair in the beginning of April in Zürich. You probably find a lot of infos there.

The law has to be taken seriously regarding possession of H. - it's not to be sniffed at.

There's the 2nd part programme (1st part shown last week) on BBC 3 tonight (Cablecom English Package - CBBC/BBC3), that I saw last week that examined exactly this, amongst other things.

It had interviews with a wide variety of stoneheads, all talking about their "medication".

Interesting programme, I just thought thinking that many of the people that they spoke to were a little overboard about their usage...like comparing a normal pot smoker to an alcaholic.
