I have heard rumors that there actually exist Migros/Coop that are open beyond 21:00. Any idea which, preferably in the center? Checking on their websites I couldn't see any, but I might have missed...

there is a co-op on (actually not sure of the name of the street) but if you are on Ouchy and take the second left after the movenpick hotel and there is a co-op there (albeit a small one) that is open until 22:00hrs weekdays...

Unfortunately the Co-op in Ouchy is likely to be closed too by the time the OP gets there from Zürich.

There is a tiny Coop near Wiedikon station which is open till 23 (I think ...)

There is a Coop open untilll 23:00 nearby the Klusplatz Station (tram 3, 8 or 15)

Coop Prontos are open until 11PM or even midnight.

Check near airports, train stations, gas stations & heavily touristic areas... Apparently those are the areas where "late night" stores are allowed to be open.

Also look here for a "Coop Pronto" near you. Migros.ch probably the same type of listing.

I'm assuming since the website is only in German and French, that the Coop Pronto is only outside of Ticino. Plus I haven't heard of it, but then again I've become accustomed to getting my shopping done early. What a great idea though! We do have the small stores within the gas stations though.

Most of the "pronto" stores are at service station: 157 vs 41 (without).

In BL (+BS?) most Coop Prontos seem to open until 23:00. The Hauptbahnhof in BS has a small shop open upstairs until 24:00. The neighbouring cantons (and non-coop tankenstellen) all seem to prefer closing at 22:00 (or earlier)

Both the Coop Pronto on Loewenstrasse and the one at Schaffhauserplatz are open until 11 p.m. They don't have a wide selection but have come in handy to me many a time .

i'm pretty sure there's a migros takeaway on Muhlegasse that's open late, at least till 11pm. It has hot food and some basic groceries.
