I believe the traditional way is over arm with a small but complicated wrist flick.

Take it to the recycling area and give it to them....or put it in the bin, they won't fine you for it if it's only small honest......LOL

Why dispose of it? Whilst your at the tool shop in Basel looking for your special tools, pick up some superglue and have a super fun weekend putting it back together again | | This user would like to thank mimi1981 for this useful post: | |

A one-off bit of cracked crockery in the rubbish system is not going to land you in trouble, nor do I think Basel, nor any other part of the Western world has a policy specially dedicated to smashed saucers. |

Doing so would change the nature of the saucer to a flying one, and at that point an unknown number of secret government agencies would become involved.

What you are suggesting borders on the criminal.

how about wrapping it in some banana skins then? Or failing that I would try flushing it down the loo after 10pm. |

Even with my limited german it took me less that a minute to find the answer: http://www.stadtreinigung-bs.ch/saub...l=37&detail=70
with a full list of how to dispose of various items here: http://www.stadtreinigung-bs.ch/saub...?lang=0&sel=37

The fact that this discussion takes place at all, tells the casual browser all they need to know about pressing concerns and attitudes in Switzerland.

Keep smashing it up, eventually it will be so small it will blow away in the wind, like a rubbish religion or bad dandruff.

It's on days like this I wish I lived in Yorkshire.

Don't throw it away, make it work for you. Depending on the severity of the 'smash' you could offer it for sale on the boards on this very forum. If you have less than 12 pieces buy a tube of glue and advertise it as an edgy children's game of skill and patience. More than 12 pieces could become hardcore for a wendy house. Those are my best ideas, I'm sure you could come up with some yourself.

- Mit genügend Vignetten versehen.
