Yakult in Switzerland?

Hi all.
I've just moved here from the UK (although I still call Australia home ).
I've been looking around for Yakult, but can't seem to find it.
(the fermented milk drink with 'good' bacteria)
Has anyone seen it in shops? Can anyone rcommend an alternative?
many thanks.
Bill

Re: Yakult in Switzerland?

You could try Actimel as a substitute.... its made by Danone. It seems to do the same thing as Yakult. And comes in nice flavours too!

Re: Yakult in Switzerland?

You can get them in Thai shops or in a Japanese grocery store.
Yakult is also popular in Asia.
Try NISHI'S JAPAN SHOP,
or New Asian Market on Feldstrasse,
or a Thai take-away shop called "Phuket" on Militaerstrasse.
I've seen them selling Yakult, but probably better calling first to see
if they have it in stock.
You should be able to find their phone numbers on
www.weissseiten.ch with the search program.

Re: Yakult in Switzerland?

you might wanna try the bigger stores - I have seen ads for it and know that they have it in Germany... I'm sure if it's not already here, it will be soon!

Hello Guyz,

I know that's a very-very-very-very old thread, but I had to help anyone!

After visiting Asian country, America, Australia, I wanted to find this healthy drink in Swiss as weel.
I was looking everywhere and I finally found it in Coop City Lausanne (Rue Saint-Laurent 24-30). YESSSSSSS,THE TREASURE IS MINE! Even for 5 CHF 5 bottles, worth it.

I'm still looking everywhere I go, to found another sealer, in case of Coop stop to sell it .

Good luck!

With a higher percentage of sugar than coca cola, that's not really true.

Not according to scientific evidence.
