I am looking for help in finding an English speaking tutor to homeschool my 12 year old son in all school subjects based in the lugano area. Does anyone know of any local classifieds or good websites I could get on in english where I might be able to find someone?

One thing I do know is home schooling is becoming more difficult and tutors must (in ZH anyway) be CH qualified teachers.

you could try my father-in-law who has his own school near Manor in Lugano. Via Peri 1a www.wsi-lugano.ch 091 921 2323....

Try TASIS (The American School in Switzerland). It's located in Montagnola, which is perched right over Lugano, looking down on Centro Commerciale Grancia. Most teachers work full-time and won't be interested, but they will certainly know quite a few native English speakers with classroom teaching experience.

You might also want to try Franklin College, which is just down the hill from TASIS.
