Hi all,

Can someone tell me the post office hours in basel??

Please, please. I cant seem to understand the website cause i don't speak any of the languages to find out if there is even a schedule.

Go here:

Put "Basel" in the "Ort" field then click on "Suchen".

A list of Post Offices in the Basel area will appear, then just click on "Info" on the one you want to know more about the opening hours.

"Suche" means "Search" in german, from the homepage the link you should have clicked at is "Poststellen Suche", inside the grey box at the right bottom of the page.

if you go the the Post website, select english, and search for offices in basel you get this list. Under info you will find opening hours

Ah right, English is also selectable But he/she'd better learn some german.. for the sake of living there at least...

Is it possible to get the postcode for a Street name in Basel somewhere, somehow??

Edit: I've just discovered that the search function is quite clever.

• If you enter "Basel" in the "Town" field it will list all the post offices in Basel
• If you enter "4001" in the "ZIP" field it will take you straight to the post office at Rüdengasse 1
• If you enter "40" in the "ZIP" field, it will list all post offices with a post code which match.
• If you enter a partial Town name, it will list all post offices which match.
