Antiques... getting valuations in Zurich.

Does anyone know of a decent place in Zurich to get antiques reliably valued, and which might also buy them ?

My wife has a few porcelain Miesen and Dresden pieces that we'd like to get rid of, and reckon they might be worth a few chuffs.

Any suggestions...?

Mike

While you are waiting for a suggestion in Zurich, you can always research online auctions to see what items like yours are selling for. If you search ebay.com, ebay.de or lauritz.com under the Antiques category "Porcelain and Ceramics" which is Porzellan und Keramiks for the two German sites, and type in Meissen or Dresden, you can look for items that are similar to yours. The Lauritz auction houses will also sell your items for you and take a small commission on the sale. I guess the nearest one to Zurich would be Dusseldorf.

Good luck!
