I am not sure if this is in the right section of the forum, but I am looking for a good quality shopping trolley. So that I can go and do the groceries and walk home with my purchases. We are based in Luzern does anyone know a shop in the area which stocks these?
I'm sure there's a rule that says you need to be over 60 to use one of those things
I am guilty of using the stroller for shopping up the big hill to my house. I see others doing this without a kid in sight
See, that all started to change (not sure if it completely took off or was just an innner-suburban fad) in Melbourne, Australia, when young adults started moving close to the city and didn't want to lug bags-full of booze and shopping home on foot. Enter the granny trolley. They were so popular that they became cool for a bit in areas like Richmond. As I say, I'm not sure if this is still the case, but a friend and I were thinking of starting a granny trolley cover shop, full of funky covers to put over the wire frame for that extra cool feeling as you're wheeling it along. We never actually started the shop thanks to me moving overseas 'for a year' (9 years ago).
I think I'd rather buy them for my kids (7 & 9 years) - I'd still feel too daggy pulling a 'granny' trolley!
Do you mean the ones with the flags on my kiddies love them, or the little winnie the pooh/princess ones they use to go and sleep over at there grandparents
We got our son a four-wheeler 'carry on' luggage one and he loves it - because he can push it along...
But I was sorely tempted to get one of these when we left Australia... for our little bub...
Cool can i get an adult size one please i would love to see the peoples faces in March at the airport with me rolling down the line to check in on one of them
I hear Migros have a huge selection. You'll normally find them outside the main entrance or throughout the carpark. Very cheap too, only Sfr 2:-
Actually those need to be returned back to the store.. you don't buy them
I think what you are looking for is one of those two wheel trolly bags which most swiss people(specially the aged ones ) roam around with,
You could purchase one of these from Migros City / Coop City
But then again Paddy's suggestion to borrow and return the shopping carts might be more economical if you have just have to take the stuff till your car and dump it there
I wouldn't give a monkey if people laughed about me having a trolley. I'd have the last laugh anyway when I get my shopping home with an intact back. At the moment a large rucksack does the job but I wont hesitate when the time comes.
