anyone live just over the German border.

I'm so disappointed I found the perfect wooden child's kitchen and the company doesn't deliver to Switzerland. Is there anyone who lives just over the border in Germany who could recieve this for me? It would be all paid for and I could come and pick it up.

Here's hoping.

Re: anyone live just over the German border.

Why not try somebody who regularly attends the Basel Curry Night?

I know for sure there are at least several people who live in Lörrach, Weil Am Rhein etc.

Re: anyone live just over the German border.

Oldhand, I've been looking for a kitchen too. Can you post the link to the company you found? I'm curious, thanks.

In Switzerland I found these guys "Zauberstein"

but I haven't ordered anything from them so far. I'm slightly inclined just to go down to Pastorini to save all the hassle, but as you've mentioned it is a touch more expensive.

There's a useful address in Weil am Rhein which is just across the border from Basel.

If you register (for free) at the serviceadresse.com website, you can order stuff and have it delivered to one of their two addresses in Weil am Rhein then simply drop by and pick it up.

Naturally there is a small charge. For a small packet (up to 50 cm along the longest side) there is a charge of two Euros. Packages up to 150 cm cost four euros.

There is a maximum weight of 31.5 Kilos.

The family who do this have been doing so for the past 50 years.
