Re: snow or lack of!

You bummed out buddy, but there is still a chance for about the next 6 weeks. After that start shopping for a mountain bike or roller blades..

Re: snow or lack of!

Last year there was more snow in March than had fallen in the lowlands for 20 years.

But otherwise this winter has been exceptionally mild with temps about 4 - 5°C above normal. I can recall winters here with minus 15°C at night and a good four weeks below zero, walking on the lakes - it was 1963 when the Lake of Zurich last froze hard enough to walk from one side to the other! That might have been the last time for the next 10,000 years...

Does optimism come naturally to you or have you been practising really hard?

I'v been touring arround this last week.... here is some info.

Scuol - Good
St Moritz - Good but Foggy
San Bernardino - Good
St Anton - Good but quite heavy snow

Hope this helps.

Lets pray for a bit more snow before easter.

By the way, I know of a place where you can get guaranteed snow...

Mall of the Emirates Dubai. That is one wierd ski experience.. anyone else been there?

Still decent snow on Flumserberg. Last year there was very heavy snow in March - unlikely this year but I am an optimist

No, I don't think I am the new mod.

Are you the one who's never seen snow in her 15 years on this planet?
