Free Postage !!

Having sold something on ebay I just signed up for the Swiss posts online franking service.

You get a free 5chf credit when you open an account and can print off your own stamps even for regular letters..

Have been using WebStamp for years now. You can be
very creative with you own photos for example.

Have fun!

Re: Free Postage !!

I found this thread through the search function and I realize it's over a year old, but am hoping that someone can answer a couple of questions about WebStamp for me.

Do I have to wait to receive an activation code in the mail before I can start using the service, or is the one sent by email sufficient? I'm not really clear why they send 2 activation codes (1 by email, 1 by regular mail) unless I'm misunderstanding and they only send one by email.

Can you print the postage at any time and post the envelope/package whenever you want (i.e. print the postage on a Monday but wait until Thursday to drop at the post office)?

Now my last (and silliest) question but I just can't seem to understand....do you pay via credit card online or do you have to pay when you drop the envelope/package off at the post office?

I am using the French version of the website since there's no English so I think it's just a matter of comprehension that is causing me not to get the answers I'm looking for!

Thanks so much!

Re: Free Postage !!

Is the 5CHF free offer still valid? (could not find a mention on the post.ch site).

Yes but unfortunately when you actually login to the WebStamp portion of the site you are limited to FR/DE/IT for language selection. No worries, I'm just going to forge ahead and wait to be scolded by a Swiss Post employee when I show up having done the wrong thing on the website.

Midas - I don't think the 5CHF credit is valid anymore, too bad!

Thanks for everyone's help!

So to geek out in this thread, a little OT, but try googles 'chrome' browser, it will translate websites ón the fly' to your preferred language (note that you computer language must be english e.g. Chrome will not suggest trabslating German to German
