Re: Fortune Teller?

Why don't you try and reverse your fortune yourself instead? Tarot won't give you the solution, only an outcome which may or may not come to pass depending on which choices you make! Nothing is set in stone. Reflect for a moment and try to figure out if the bad luck you are experiencing is coming from you and you are influencing the world around you or if it is coming from external factors. Don't chuck your money out on something that might or might not make you feel better. Tarot and fortune telling are not cure alls.

I think they are just very good at reading people. It's probably best to save your money and try to focus on the good things in your life.

Exactly. Reading people doesn't necessarily qualify someone to dispense with advise about the future.

Reminds me of an old fortune teller I saw who frequented a particular cafe. She targetted young women who were dressed provocatively. She always dispensed the same advise:
-I see dangers ahead for you.
-Keep in touch with your mom and dad.
-You must be more careful with the men you meet.
-Don't be so gullible
-Something about STDs and pregnancies
-Think wisely about your future.

She would charge them $20, then move to her next customer.

Good Idea for a part-time business, easy money and chit-chat with some young women.

Re: Fortune Teller?

  1. Make sure your fortune teller or psychic is registered to do business in your town. Most towns and cities require fortune tellers and psychics to be licensed. If they are licensed, they have an established business, and are less likely to take your money and skip town. A license doesn't mean the fortune teller has a record for accuracy
  2. Watch out for fortune tellers who claim they must cleanse your money of evil spirits. They cleanse it all right, in their wallets while they take off of another town.
  3. Be cautious about fortune tellers who try to sell you additional, more expensive readings to ensure your good fortune. It's their own good fortune they're ensuring. The pricey reading that will give you the life you dream about is a classic fortune telling scam.
  4. Don't purchase any supplies. Some fortune teller victims have reported having credit cards charged for supplies that were supposed to be used in their readings. They victims were supposed to be reimbursed for any supplies that weren't used. Often, few if any supplies are used and the money is never reimbursed.
  5. Watch out for fortune tellers who demand money from you to keep loved ones from dying. These scam artists will try to extract tens of thousands of dollars from you by claiming powers they don't have. Call the police if you run into one of them. They are the worst kind of criminals, trying to turn death and grief into profit

Re: Fortune Teller?

just to let you both into a teensy little secret, but nobody can tell your fortune.

if you have had bad luck, thats life. if you want to know your future, you cannot. if you want to influence your future, start now by defining your goals and working towards them. this may or may not work.

as samuel goldwyn famously said to someone who called him lucky.... "the funny thing is, the harder i work, the luckier i get!"

Can you just imagine all the abuse weak minded people can suffer at the hands of a charlatan?

And to add, this thing called "bad luck", these are just events you may not happen to like. They may not actually be bad, per se. They could actually be good for you in the long run, but you just haven't figured out how to make use of them. The difference is your attitude to them.

A couple of my friends went to a seminar in Zurich on face reading, i didn`t believe in it and thought it was going to be a waste of money, but after they came back they came round to us and just starred at our face`s (quite creepy actually), but everything they said about me and my husband was 100% true

So after attending a "face reading" course, two people who already know you could tell you about yourself.....

something along the lines of, "i see an s? could your name be shooter or something close?" "you live in thurgau!" "it seems you are married".

where do i sign up!

p.s. i hope you paid them handsomely (crossed their palm with silver i believe is the term) for such creepily accurate info.

Re: Fortune Teller?

Naturally they would have been mistaken with their two bit predictions.

Any soothsayer worth their salt would know, for instance, that you actually live in that mystical place called Thurgua.

I'm a fortune teller and can help you in 1,2,3 easy steps !

1) Invite me to your luxury mansion.
2) I will defecate in your in toilets.
3) Make a check in my name.

In a few days a celebrity will spawn from your W.C and tell you what you want to hear.

P.S If their is some missing jewelry or belongings after my visit ... I will happily let your children take the blame.
