I was going to post this in the market place but I'm not actually selling anything. This is just a heads-up to all the South Africans around the Thalwil area. Our little Denner in Gattikon is selling Mrs. Balls Chutney. I'm fairly certain it's not being sold in every Denner but our little one has. Normal , strong and chilli chutney for CHF5.50 a bottle. I haven't plucked up the courage to ask if they are getting anymore in or different flavours.

To all the non Saffers out there wondering why the song and dance about chutney. You will never understand. This stuff makes the world go round (with a bit of help from gravity and centrifugal force). Add this to the boerrie from the butcher in Wadenswil and the braai is complete.

Get it while you can.

You are not alone in your appreciation of chutney!
Popular on at least two other continents I can think of.
Fairly standard method of preserving fruit and veg for the winter. Cold meat or cheese would not be the same without it, unless maybe with Branston pickle!
"Mrs. Ball's" might raise a few eyebrows though!
