Online shopping for some plants for the balcony, from CH firms, and came across one firm selling cannabis sativa as a house plant. Now i can recall from my hazy student daze that this is also a great ingredient for salads, cakes and stuff . Only chf3.90 a pop!

Is this legit?

No idea, but if not, when the old bill catch up with my old next door neighbour, then he's in for a big fine. We had large balconiess - if you call 5sqm large. Large enough, but I digress. Anyway, a good proportion of his balcony space was used for the express purpose of growing the aforementioned. Couldn't really believe that he was so brazen about it to be honest.....

Yes! so long as you don`t try to smoke it! making tea of it is legal, baking with is legal, making massage oil out of it is legal, using it as a pretty pot plant is legal.sooo! don`t be tempted to skin up.

I find it very silly that we can smoke dry tobacco leaves but not dry cannabis leaves Alcohol that cause far more trouble is legal! I personally don't smoke anything but if as an adult I wanted to then I would find the rules SILLY!

Er, my mate says it's ok to grow it but beware of nosey neighbours. It's a beautiful plant and wonderfully fragrant. Should Mrs Schweizer have a problem, it'll soon turn into your problem. The harvested value of mature plants can be several thousand Franks.

Loads of people have it growing on balconies (roof terraces are best, ahem) and I've heard from my mate that the best fertilizer is one part fresh urine and five parts water. Apparently urine contains the right combination of phosphates etc. But I wouldn't know about that...
