[Seeking] Sleeping bags / Camping equipment

I really don't know where to post this question, sorry mods!

I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations on sleeping bags?
I need to purchase one before tomorrow and am not really sure where to look, I don't have alot of time wandering around.
Would Coop City carry these? I don't much about sporting goods places here that are budget friendly.

anyone? thanks!

Re: sleeping bags? dumb question...

I don't know about Co-op, but the sports section in the Big MMMigros (called Sport XXL) normally have cheap and basic camping supplies. Athleticum also has a camping section with pretty cheap stuff. I even found a catalogue online for Athleticum (click here for the 20 MB pdf, french or german, sleeping bags start on page 30). Don't expect to find anything top quality in either of those stores, though.

Maybe a bit late. . . .however,

Bächli Bergsport has outlet stores and the staff seem knowledgable . . .

Re: sleeping bags? dumb question...

I thought this thread is probably the best place for my question

Can anyone recommed a good camping/outdoor shop, like Millets in the UK? I have been to Athleticum and SportXXX etc.. but just wanted to know if there were any dedicated outdoor specialist shops

Many thanks
Nicky

Re: [Seeking] Sleeping bags / Camping equipment

I can recommend Spatz in Zürich, near Hegibachplatz. Their success is based on high quality cotton tents of medium and large sizes. They still make them and the big ones are really popular among Scouting groups in Switzerland. But they also sell tents of other brands.

Beside all the essentials for camping and trekking, they also have some fancy doodads like a dynamo-driven flashligh-radio-phone charger or survival food, p.e. can bread that is edible or a >1000 kcal brick with all the vitamins and minerals you need for a day Generally prices aren't cheap but you get what you pay for!

There's also Hajk, at Zürich main station and in Bern. Usually a bit cheaper. They are official partners of the scouts and the Jungwacht/Blauring, material related to the two youth organisations is available there, too, but nearly no fancy things.

You probably can order their catalogs online.
