Its true what you say, but you never know, I met my current boyfriend online (as bizarre as that sounds). However, not through a dating website though.

My luck:

I used internet dating for a few months.

It was fun, I met some interesting people, but no-one to have a serious relationship with. I met my wife the old fashioned way.

One of my cousins (a very high end lawyer) met his wife (a high end banker) on internet dating, they are both very intelligent, funny, attractive, down to earth people

(hmmm... is it ok to say your cousin is attractive?)

I think "meeting over the net" is same as meeting anywhere else, people are people, just that hiding behind a computer screen, people tend to be bolder than in real life.

Another interesting observation is people are so open to approach and be approached online, but if you try to do that in the world outside, one would be taken as a creep or desperate.
