Cow Rental!

Here is the newest twist on being a Gentleman Farmer:

http://www.kuhleasing.ch/

And yes, I have a friend that has leased a girly (for a year) that will be summering in the Alp Oberallmend.

Isn't she pretty?

If anyone is interested, I was told they speak english.

It's hilarious and a very clever idea!

Re: Cow Rental!

Well I am a bit disappointed now, as it isn't really the cow I could actually have, but only the cheese which will be produced from the milk this cow will give. I don't see the point of this cow leasing ...

Rent a cow?

I liked the idea of renting a cow,as part of a scheme rather than approaching some random farmer and asking for one of his cows

So I googled and found a blog and a link, where one rents a cow and gets a portion of the cheese produced from the milk.

http://www.kuhleasing.ch/index.html

Has anyone done this or explored this idea

Is it like one of those "Lease a Third World child" deals? Where you pay them 3$ a month and they fix your shoes?

Not really because with the child scheme you get a tax deduction; although you do get updates about the cow + pics. Oh yeah, you can even visit it.

Not very pc for the cow though, being put on show and all. I feel bad for it.
