Recently I found that the V Zug website offers the option to download manuals in English.
That is most useful. I was under the misapprehension that V Zug was like the AMG Mercedes of kitchen appliances whereas in fact I've discovered they are more the Ferrarii - i.e. they cost a fortune and then are a bit 'temperamental'. Our place came fitted with the V train stuff and you name it it plays up - the fridge thinks its 7 degrees when its 3, the washing machine stops for a lunch break and the dishwasher starts playing musical tunes on its beeper part way through a cycle. Schweizer qualitat indeed!

Re: Dishwasher Help Needed Please!

Yep I agree - we've lots of the VZug stuff as do all our neighbours and it can be a real pain. On the plus side though, when we recently had a problem with our tumble drier the VZug mannie came out promptly and repaired it for free (I don't remember how old it is, at least 8 years - he said it had an 'acknowledged' problem). Their customer support was really good too, and they've been pretty helpful with other stuff like the fridge when we broke a bit off the lid for the cheese shelf (lesson was not to try shutting the fridge with the lid still up, duh. It wasn't me though).

Give me an AEG or a Miele appliance anyday, but at least everyone here supports a local business and brand. A dying phenomenon these days.

Re: Dishwasher Help Needed Please!

Hello EF

We also have Zug Adora N.
Today in the morning I put plates and switched machine on. Plates are clean. BUT!!! Machine still does not stop. It sounds like usually: working 3-4 min - stop - working 3-5 min - stop - working 3-5 min.... and again and again and again.
Now it's 22.30 and nothing is changed.
the only thing we could do is to to cut electricity supply.

what can it be? and how to stop it?

p.s. all these lamps ("start", "stop", "salt") are not alight. it looks like it does not operating. but at the same time there is sound like it does work.

Please HELP!

Re: Dishwasher Help Needed Please!

We once had a washing machine which did the same thing. Only solution was to (very quickly) open the door when it 'finished' one cycle before the door was relocked and it started again.
The chap who was called in (it was a communal washing-machine not ours) found just a minor fault - probably cost quite a bit but we didn't have to pay it and it was a long time ago anyway.

Is the 'clock' running on your machine? i.e. does it show how long the programme should continue before it finishes? If so, when it gets to zero try switching the off switch?

No there is no display. we have only 2 buttons and light to choose program.

We have the same model. When ours goes mental (although we've not had the precise problem you describe we've had others where it has just not finished or it has started beeping incessantly at high volume) we open the door and press the right button (next to the S) to advance it through to the end of the cycle. Then we try it again from the beginning and it works. I'm not saying this will work or is the 'right' thing to do. Good luck.

It may have water in the base of the machine (which can happen if you open the door a few times whilst it's spraying water around inside).

The noise is the pump trying to drain the water. The pump is being switched on via an internal floating switch.

Anyway, this happened to our Miele a few months ago so I removed the bottom front cover and mopped up the water with a cloth (it was only a few mm). We haven't had a problem since but try not to open the door when it's on.

Yours may not have this fault but from what you describe, it has the same symptoms.

Re: Dishwasher Help Needed Please!

Thanks for the answers!

A special THANK to Tom 1234!
There were not more than 5 ml of water. I mopped - and finally there are peace and quiet

Not at all.

My mum reckons I was a complete pain as a kid as I took everything apart to work out how it worked and I couldn't put most of it back together again. A good learning exercise I suppose.

Re: Dishwasher Help Needed Please!

I have an Electrolux Swissline dishwasher 911D32-1t and I need to reset it, it has locked up. We have visitors and I cannot get an engineer for another 10 days. Does anyone know the two buttons to press to reset the unit. Have googled but cannot find the instructions.

You could try asking the question on this site. They might be able to help you. Good luck.

Pull the electrik plug of the maschine out, wait for 5 seconds and plug it back in. This makes maschine reset in the electronics.
The plug should be under the sink.

If you have the manuel for the maschine in German, look on the page "Programm löschen" there you should see which buttons you need.
By the way you must press the "Programm löschen" button for at least 3 seconds.
Hope it helps.
Salut Zämma
