Where to buy the English version of Lonely Planet in Switzerland

Hi all. I am going to Istanbul next week and would like to but the lonely planet for Istanbul in English. I know I can buy it online bvut I am afraid it wont get here by the time I need it.

Do you know any stores in Oerlikon, Volketswil or closeby where I can buy one?

I can't tell for sure but they usually sell english books. Why not go there from oerlikon tomorrow? it's only one stop.

But are you certain you won't get it by the end of the week? Orell füssli delivers in 2 days

Any decent bookstore should be able to order one and get it in a few days.

I would gladly lend you mine but the person who borrowed it has not returned it . I would check the airport in Zurich and if not just buy it in Istanbul, might pay more but it is a good option as I am sure they will have English copies.
If anyone wants I can borrow the ones for Italy, Morocco and Peru

There's a travel bookshop in the Niederdorf, up Rindermarkt, behind the Oliver Twist, which might have what you want.

Alternatively, there's always Orell Fuessli.

If you're desperate, however, I've got an Everyman guide to Istanbul (1997 edition) which I could lend you: It's more of a literary and arts guide than a list of hotels and restaurants, but it would be better than nothing.

Bon voyage!

How close to Oerlikon?

Jelmoli in Zurich city used to have a wide variety of English books.

The book shop in Sihl City sells them and Rough Guides not sure for Istanbul though, might be worth calling them first to save a journey. You might also try the Orell Füssli in Bahnhofstrasse.
