Finding a cleaner in ZH

Have you ever wondered why it is impossible to get a cleaner in Zurich and/or Switzerland. It drove me nuts when I first got here. Never had I ever had such trouble finding someone to do this kind of work!!

Anyway, I figured this might be a good place to let people know about your cleaner if you are lucky enough to have one, and if he/she is looking for additional work. Also, if you are looking for a cleaner, this thread might be a good place to find one!

I'll start the ball rolling with the details of my cleaner. Her name is Yualda Leon (pronounced Iralda I think). Her number is 076 542 9880. Now she speaks very broken German and no English. Spanish and Italian are no problem, however I don't speak either of these languages But we seem to get by with German and she does a good job.

She charges CHF30/hour and is currently looking for work on alternate Fridays (i.e. 2 week cycle) either for a few hours or a whole day (depending on your requirements).

If language is an issue you can call a friend of hers who can do English and German, Yula Garcia 0765047929 / 0443642116. She will take care of the translation issues and make the arrangements.

Just tell her that I sent you, and let me know if it works out for you!

Mark

Well just to make my point further - It's hard enough to find a cleaner in this country, so you certainly won't find one with both looks and skills with a duster...

Please don't start a new thread if you've already seen an existing one on the same subject. I'm now merging this thread into the existing thread.

Re: Finding a cleaner in ZH

The merging deleted the company name in the subject

So here it goes again,.. the two companies I'm curious about are:

www.putzfrauenrapid.ch

and

www.putzfrauenvermittlung.ch

many thanks !

Re: Does anybody know a good cleaning service?

I heard a story from a friend recently about him receiving a call from the neighbours say the police were at his house because his cleaner had got nuts. He got there to find the police still in attendance and the sound of bad dance music being played top-blast from his apartment window. She had refused to turn the music off or answer the door, even to the police. When he eventually got there and opened the door, she was unconscious on the kitchen floor having relieved him of his vodka stash.

Goes to show you never can tell...

Sounds like a real top girl.

Just to re-post a question from the other day hopefully in the right place this time. Does anyone have any experience (positive or negative) of the cleaning agencies in Zürich. Katie gave a glowing reference for Jakober (www.jakober.info/index.php).

I'd really be interested in quality of service and price. But any funny stories about unconcious cleaners is always a winner

Re: Finding a cleaner in ZH

that's very typical. I assume the cleaner is working for cash in an informal agreement?

Re: Finding a cleaner in ZH

Hello, I am new to the forum and am looking for a cleaner for my apartment in Dübendorf once a week or every other week for 2-3 hours. I will try the numbers Mark gave but they may no longer be relevant. Is there anyone else looking for cleaning work or anyone who knows of a good cleaner that would come out to Dübendorf? I need one asap!
