yeah..u can generally give idea..what will u do if u boring...got some ideas, think will try from my side..thank you all!!!appreaciate it!
Someone would have pulled you up on this sooner or later, I suppose it may as well be me ...

This country is called Switzerland. Swiss is the adjective relating to Switzerland. Swiss is not an acceptable substitute for Switzerland. It's like calling Malaysia "Malay" or "Malaysian".

If you're still bored, you could spend endless hours on the internet researching Basel and Switzerland. When do you plan on moving here?

There's a poster called Derviash that's bored too.
Did'nt realise my name was dragged into this, followed by Thanks by 2 other perpeturators ... who says I dont make friends easy

But just for the record, Im different kind of "bored"... I can have enough things to do... but Im just bored at work... between the hours of 9am - 6pm.

I feel like a slave here, tied to my desk, no chains though, just an economic slave. This is what is killing me inside, slowly but gradully... consuming my very existence. Like a Soaring bird, put in a cage.. looking at outside world through the window.

Can you guys even feel my pain, but just laugh and take me in jest and make mockery!! Im also a Human like you... why is the whole world against me... Why dont they set me free... to Soar the skies?

I dont want to stay in one place for mor than once, yet I have to, day after day... same monotonous life, same journey to work, same desk, same work, same gossip, same talk about weather... what is wrong with this world?

Im like flowing water, you can make a dam and stop me for a while, but would never be able to keep me. I WILL break free, singing "I want to break free" by Queen.

Do I need professional help? Was I convincing? Do you think I can get some kind of role in Hollywood?

Ok Lady Hidlor... this "bored women" thing is quite severe in Malaysia, I've heard, if you're from that parts of the world.. like women calling Fire Brigade just coz they were lonely and wanted to talk to some guys in Uniform?

Whats going on?

Lets help each other out here... as some haev insinuated that You might be "stinky rich" .. how about you pay my upkeep and I'll make sure you are never bored again

Re: Need help...

Since you seem to have plans to move to Switzerland soon, I would suggest spending some time researching and reading here on the forum. Find out more about the place you will be living, so you are prepared for some of the culture shock that is bound to hit you.

And speaking of shock, you might want to spend some time with your cleaning lady/maid, learning to clean and cook, as you might be doing this yourself here rather than spending quite a bit more than you do now to have someone do this for you.

And btw...

If you feel really boring...
... I don't want to offend you, but it might be helpful to spend some time working on your English as well. Your problem right now is that you are bored. Someone else might characterise you as boring but - unless you have a strange sense of humour - that word is hardly something you would use to describe yourself.

I shouldn't imagine you'll be bored here for the first four months. 17 hours of darkness per day, sub-zero temperatures, unaffordable servants, it's all fun.

Actually, this is a great place to be, I love it and I'm sure you will too. Is your boyfriend Swiss, by the way?

I guess this will sound patronising; it's not meant to.

Firstly, don't you think that the.frollein gave you good advice on how to alleviate your boredom -- brush up on your English?

Secondly, I don't think you're going to endear yourself to others here and get them to help you with your chronic, self-inflicted boredom by demanding that they produce answers for you. You've no right to demand help, especially for such a trivial complaint as "oh, I'm bored and I need someone to tell me how to run my life".

Grow up. (Admittedly, that bit is patronising.)

Re: Sooooo Bored

Dear Lila

If I may say so you sound utterly depressed. Are you?

It's true, Switzerland can be a very very quiet place and if you are not used to it, that quietness can really get to one. I completely understand.

I would advise you to get lots of friends, preferably friends who have travelled a bit, or who are from somewhere else too. Get active with the social meet ups that you find on the Englishforum.ch and Glocals.com.

If you feel very lonely, put on the radio or TV and call your friends abroad.

I hope you feel better soon. Ps. seek out people from "noisier" places such as Spain, Italy, Greece, Israel, India....
