Hello!
I will be moving to Zurich in January for 4 months. I am really excited to be back in Switzerland (lived in Basel last year). I am a full-time musician with a theater company called Blueman Group. I have my own band and was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could start looking for gigs in the city.

I know that the big ben pub at Escher Wyss has live bands in every Thursday evening. I'm not saying that your band is but some of the bands I've heard play there are REALLY bad so it seems that they will take anyone. Worth a shot, they get a reasonably crowd considering the usual bad quality of the performers.

The Hafenkneipe near the HB also host live bands from time to time. Perhaps the Abart could also help you out, they often run a battle of the bands competition so that may be worth a look although I think currently they are already in the quarter final's for this year.

Lastly the Dinimo may be worth a try, they also have lots of live bands playing there.

Perhaps to start, you would need to open for a few local bands whilst you build up the connections in the city.

Still good to know about the Big Ben at Hardbrucke, seeing as I'm hunting for an open mic venue sounds like we could have a winner
