| | | Swiss Cigars
Have a request from my dad to bring him back some Swiss smoke cigars. He describes them as "Swiss smoke cigars that come in a pack of three .....cigars are very long and are twisted".
As anybody heard of these and know what the name is in German? I got some funny looks when I asked and not sure if it was my english or not |

A twisted cigar is called a culebra. Davidoff do them, and they're Swiss although cigars are normally identified by the provenance of the tobacco e.g Cuban rather than the domicile of the company. |

Ok... the Villigers are the cheapest and possibly worst of that kind. This is not a Swiss invention, but a traditional cigar size "culebras". Any decent tobacco shop (for example the one at the beginning of Bahnhofstrasse) will have some better ones as well.

" These crazy-looking cigars actually originated in the 19th century cigar factories to keep workers from stealing cigars. One culebra cigar was given to each employee who would usually unbind it to smoke separately throughout the day. By doing this the owners would know which employees were smoking their allotment and which were smoking the profits. " http://www.cigaradvisor.com/education.cfm?id=5

Er...Yeah, but was refering to sticking with my preferred cuban cigar. Should have been more specific.
Very informative though. Thx | Quote: | | | | | Culebras were invented there...
