Will anybody be relocating to the US in August / September? I would like to rent a container, but the smallest I've found is 20 ft, way too big for what I have. Anyone interested in sharing.....
Otherwise, does anyone know where I could get a cheap 10 ft container?

I've contacted Alliedpickford for more info. It's the only one I've found until now that has a groupage rate!! Good tip!

The only thing I did not like is they did the delivery with a shared van, and got delayed on the first leg, and did not tell us.

So they showed up a day late...otherwise, no problems with packing etc., although if you insure, get an independent insurance company. This applies to all movers I would think.

does anyone know the indicative cost of a small container from Zurich to US East Coast ? and also any good ideas for alternatives ie delivering goods to Shipping Agent in Calais or some other port

I would love to share a container, I have two problems though. 1. I live in Germany and 2. we are planning on leaving in May. We could possibly leave our things with my wife's family outside Heidelberg, Germany, but we would have to work out the rest.
