Aww that's really sweet... don't mind the forum vetrans... they love to jump all over fresh meat here in the forums since fresh meat in Switzerland is otherwise too expensive.
And same from me... Welcome to the forum and you might also find what you are looking for at Coop, Migros, Manor, etc. or you can post and [WANTED] linens in geneva here in the forums... you never know
Hi Puhutes,

I think you need to look at this thread before you make any judgments about Swiss meat prices

Price of meat

LOL yeah! I was refering to that thread!!!
I think some of our vetrans are getting a little cranky from lack of animal meat parts in the Swiss diet... I've only been here since mid-February so I will probably be joining them soon as well... Mmmmm steak

so, if you didn't find the exact thread that you were looking for, try something more imaginative... for example, if you check out the threads where people from Geneva sell stuff for the house because they are moving or such, the list of stuff for sale will tell you where they bought them from...

EF is not here to spoon-feed you, you have to have a certain degree on initiative too...

on a separate note, turning down a notch the sarcasm knob will get you further...

You live in Geneva. Stop googling things. Get off the computer, put on some shoes and walk the streets in expanding concentric circles until you find the shop of your requirements. Oh, and by doing this you'll find everything else you need too. Except brown sugar.

Re: where i can buy blankets, sheets, and other things for the house?

When I first arrived I had to look for a padlock for my son's locker at school and I hadn't a clue where to start.

Confuser, the easiest places, without a car, are probably Coop City in Bel Air and Manor department store near Cornivan station (they have loads of household things in the basement). Also MParc in Carouge if that is handy for you (I find it more difficult because of the buses I need to take to get there).

You're welcome to PM me if you need any help.

Did he ask about a padlock in his post?

Really, how difficult is it to go into town and buy some bedding?

Are we going to discuss what he didn't ask for now? Like vanilla extract and sarcastic replies?

Point being - though I thought it was obvious - that when you first arrive and need things in a hurry, it's not as easy to find things here as you might think. Everything is easy when you've been here a while.

It's not so easy to find unusual or specialist stuff - categories which certainly include small padlocks, and certainly exclude everyday items such as sheets and blankets, which any idiot should be able to go into town and purchase without guidance.

I'm all for helping genuine enquiries, but this request is just downright lazy.

Next the OP will be asking us to find milk and eggs...
