they you may know that the Irish politico's in charge of Boston at the time trolled the history books to find a holiday so they could get St.Pats day off and very suitably found that one

2 in one.. st pats day off and a lil kick at the Brits too.

( p.s.. I "was" from metrowest.. about 20 miles west of Boston. )

Happy St. Patrick's Day!! One of my favorite Holidays. This was actually my first one in Zurich... and yes this is actually me Also the two year anniversary of when I met my husband and a year from when we got engaged!! WOoo hooo. This year I have a little one though and will be drinking Guinness at home. How time flies!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all inhabitants of Éire (and CH )!
It reminds me about olden days in 1994 when I had had opportunity to spend 1 month at Temple Bar disctrict close to Half Penny Bridge and Liffey River in centre of Dublin. Guiness had poured and streets were full of Guinness sipping green dressed friendly blokes. Those were the days...
