Re: any cookies specialist

Flour = hard/brittle
Butter = soft, cakey
Sugar = chewy/bendy

Vary ingredients accordingly. Don't bake cookies with integrale, use white flour and chuck in some oats if you like.

I think the English version of Betty Bossi is Delia Smith except Delia is a real person and Betty is not

http://www.deliaonline.com/

Good 1st cookbook to buy:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb...&sprefix=delia

You should also try to read recipes in German

As Economisto mentioned above, don't use farine complète, instead use farine fleur or self-rising flour. If you don't have self-rising flour, you can prepare it this way:
  1. Using a dry measure, measure the desired amount of flour into a separate container.
  2. For each cup of farine fleur, add 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  3. Mix to combine.

Yes, it's strange, considering what we normally measure in cup sizes...

Re: any cookies specialist

Try these, they are always perfect,
cup size to use is a small coffee/tea cup, bigger than an espresso, or 200ml

Re: any cookies specialist

Yeah this is what I do. Seems kind of pointless to bother baking with stuff you ordered online. The big thrill for me is baking something awesome that cost 50 rappen.
