This post is to warn you guys about PC-Ostschweiz (also known as PC-Versand, they have 2 websites) and to ask for advice on how to proceed to claim my refund (should they not refund me after my 3rd reminder today).
I ordered 2 pieces of RAM from PC-Ostschweiz on 25th December 2009 and paid them 125CHF by online banking (vorauszahlung).
They responded in mid-january saying that they were out of stock (although their website clearly said they had stock), and asked me to change my order if possible. This was more than 2 weeks after my order, but since it was Xmas/New year, i could understand the dealy. i chose a different brand of RAM, and they told me this was in stock.
Well, it wasn't. They had problems with the importer and plenty of other excuses. I finally cancelled my order after 4 weeks of waiting, since the product was still not yet on its way, and asked for a refund. I urgently needed the RAM for work, and as I discovered, there are companies out there (notably,
www.brack.ch) who can deliver the next day!!
PC-Ostschweiz asked me for my bank details for the refund, which I sent on the same day (Feb 12th). No response to that email, and no refund, so I sent a reminder a week later, and the (same) customer service person wrote me that she would forward it to the accounting department. Still no refund after 3 weeks since providing bank details. Sent yet another email, and they did not reply me. As of today, no refund.
I have had to cancel products before (no stock or very late delivery of stock, from OHC computers and digitec) and have always had my refund within the same week.
PC-Ostschweiz seems to be rather dishonest about their real stock levels. They seem to obtain their orders before actually having their products at hand. When companies like brack.ch can deliver in just one working day (I ordered my RAM from them at 12pm on Monday, and the parcel was sitting on my office desk at 9am on Tuesday!!!) - why on earth should anyone bother ordering from PC-Ostschweiz? Perhaps I was unlucky with the products, but I'm so cheesed off by their terrible service that I would discourage anyone from buying from them.
And finally, to whom may I officially lodge a complaint against PC-Ostschweiz, should they not reply/refund me? I paid by online banking (Payment within switzerland option, UBS bank).
