Time change [Spring 2010]

The clocks go forward an hour this Saturday/Sunday, afraid you loose an hours sleep

that's ok, apparently we'll have to spend an hour in the darkness to save the planet, so I'll use that hour to go to bed and then I'll be even with my beauty sleep

Re: Time Change - Fall 2009

Had a fright on Monday, thinking the clocks had gone forward last weekend and our eldest's exams were on Monday and Tuesday. We both jumped out of bed, frantically checking the news, internet etc.

Re: Time Change - Fall 2009

The change from wintertime to summertime also means that the new summer schedules in civil aviation come into force on Sunday 28th March. In case of Zurich Airport it is a special day as there on that day will be the start of the first scheduled A380 service into ZRH, by Singapore Airlines. And Zurich will be the third European airport being regularily served by A380. Scheduled arrival is to be 7am, dep. 12.00 . And the BUCHairCENTER in Glattbrugg will be open between 8am and 4pm to serve customers being around on that day

Re: Time change [Spring 2010]

How to confuse the time efficient - try ordering a taxi for 02:30 tomorrow morning. I believe this time does not exist since the clocks go forward at 02:00.
Oh my, I've been in Switzerland too long

It is precisely for this reason I bought an Oregon Scientific clock - it changes automatically since it's radio controlled. Available at Manor.

Daylight Savings Time

Starts tonight. Well really Tomorrow morning at 2:00 am on Sunday 28, 2010.

Set your clocks ahead.

Happy getting up early.

I really don't know why we bother. DLST is such an anachronism it really should go away.

Oh, well.

Brian.

Re: Time change [Spring 2010]

I wanted to groan you but I don't think that would be fair to you since it isn't your fault we will be losing an hour of sleep.. I am sure my husband will still poke me in the eye at 6am (old time 5 am) *sigh* so "groan" button to spring forward *grumble* night night...

As Polarise seems to be quite a level headed poster I imagine the groan button was hit by mistake. I hope!

Which would mean roughly 98% of the North Americans on here did it 2 weeks early.

'Fraid so. At least, it was, when you posted. Now it's 4:15 pm on Monday, April 5. You forgot to send Easter eggs to your Great Aunt Betty and the cat hasn't been fed since March. But that spacey feeling is kinda cool, isn't it ...

By the way, you can fix the car clock issue easily. Get another car, just not a Saab.
