Where to buy bean bag filling?

Does anyone know here we can buy the filling only for bean bags in/near Zurich or Switzerland in general by mail order?

You could give these guys a call messepeter. If they can't supply they may be able to point you in the right direction.

Any idea about a supplier in Suisse Romande. Delivery from the UK seems to be an issue? Thanks.

Re: Where to buy bean bag filling?

Hi there

If you mean polystyrene balls, I bought them from Getaz Romang in Bussigny. It's a construction supplier, and the polstyrene balls are a form of insulation. The name in french are "perles de polystyrčne".

Good luck
Nats

Re: Where to buy bean bag filling?

its used as cavity wall insulation so look for a building supplier.. that would be the cheapest anyway ! if you are not bothered about costs then i have seen it in globus at mind warping prices

When you buy electrical appliances (and some other goods, also), they are normally packed in big chunks of polystyrene. If you look closely, you can see that the solid is actually made up of compressed balls.

In the evenings as you watch tele or chat to friends on the phone, you can sit and pick these balls apart (much the same as women sit and knit) ...... it's very relaxing and almost as satisfying as popping bubble wrap, or squeezing balls.

Best bet is recycle the filling of someone else's used beanbag. See here for suggestions.

Re: Where to buy bean bag filling?

Jumbo has 50 l bags at CHF 20 (from memory). They tend to keep them outside with the gardening/construction stuff.

Re: Where to buy bean bag filling?

Migros Do-It have them as well. In 50L and 100L size.

Here are photos of the price tags so they can be ordered if your local Migros does not have stock.

Re: Where to buy bean bag filling?

And even better - you can now order online with Migros Do-It and they will deliver to you for CHF9......beats having to carry a massive bag on the bus

P.S. Thanks for the photos Verbier, I have been wanting to order some, but online they only have the dimensions, not the volume - so had no clue which ones to choose!

Re: Where to buy bean bag filling?

Coop Brico/Bau-Hobby also has the bean bag filling.

They have it in 50L bags and in 250L bags at a very good price.

Here are the photos of the prices/SAP details so if your store does not have them, they can be ordered
