| | | What to do in Zurich when it is raining (for 2 days)
Ok, so I have been for lunch, had a few beers, wandered around in the rain and now I am at a loss for what to do.
Given that tomorrow is also supposed to be raining I thought I might take in some of the galleries/museums then.
There doesn't seem to be anything good on at the cinema. Suggestions anyone?
I will have a nap for an hour and hopefully by then you guys will have come up with some great ideas.

Hey Chris,
Why not head to the Zurich Zoo? There are a lot of indoor houses, and since it is raining, there might be less people there.
If you are willing to venture further away, the Transport Museum in Lucerne or the Technorama in Winterthur are both great museums (fun, hands on, etc.). ... Or, if you like B&W photography, Winterthur's Foto Museum is fabulous!
I'm passing the time by cleaning (definitely less fun) ... and tomorrow I'll be at the pub to see if the fates collide so Chelsea doesn't win the English Premier League!
Good luck in your search!

I like the look of the Fotomuseum, thanks for that suggestion. It is closed today so looks like it is time to get the bikini wax in and head to HB for the beach volleyball | Quote: | | | | | Hey Chris,

Another vote for Technorama at Winterthur.
It is a very interactive place. It could keep you occupied for a full day.

Swimming pools are open. Just back from Wallisellen but I guess Oerlikon or City are open too.

I just came back from the Arbon Classics .. www.arbonclassics.ch
Buying a 2010 pin for CHF10 gets you free rides from Romanshorn to Rorschach.

Have your wisdom tooth out the day before (ok this requires some time travel) then spend the day being spaced out on meds, and watching sh%t movies in German under the pretence it will help improve your language skills, ending the day with a british version of a bbq (i.e. a bbq in the rain ) under the shelter of the balcony above cooked by your husband which you won't really be able to eat becuase you are only allowed soft food.

Yup, last two weeks of the Bührle Collection ("among the most famous collections never seen")
and also the Gessner exhibition at the Kunsthaus.
(Combined ticket will cost you 23chf, but 64chf will buy you membership til the end of the year)

Stay in bed (that's what I'm doing right now), or spend the afternoon in the Odeon, working your way down the drinks list. | |
