I have been trying to find the equivalent of a service that I used back in the UK.

Most supermarkets (in my case the nearest was Morrisons) had a dry cleaning 'department' where you could drop off shirts/suits etc. It was fairly cheap, around £1 per item.

Are there any supermarkets around here that perform this service. I live in the Schmiede Wiedikon area, so around there is preferable, although of course not necessary.

And yes, before you start, i know i am a lazy !£$%.

I have seen a couple of dry cleaners in Wiedikon. I don't know if the big Coop in Schmiede Wiedikon do it, but I do think that the big Migros past Goldbrunnenplaz have a dry cleaner.

I just came across this post. I have tried a new laundry service that delivers to your home/ work address www.cosmobutler.com. They have a good deal on right now, where for one month you get a cleaning subscription at half price.

I've tried this dry cleaners for suits and have been very happy! (Especially since they're only charging CHF 8 per item (doesn't matter if it's a jacket or trousers). This was the cheapest place I found and it's near Schmiede Wiedikon. The turn around time is about 3 days.

For suits I'd recommend Pinguin in Höngg. They're not cheap, but you can be sure they treat your garments well.

Then, there's a new service for shirts in town. www.cosmobutler.com You buy a monthly subscription and tell them on what day they should deliver your laundry. It's pretty convenient, especially if you don't have time to pickup/ dropoff your stuff at the cleaners. They always deliver on your chosen day, so you don't have to tell them to pickup/ deliver every time, which is a bother!
