Huge apologies if this has been covered - I have searched and can't find anything.

I was looking for tips on good places in either France or Germany to shop.

The main things we are looking for are baby items and we have the option of buying some things here in England before we make our final move in July but can obviously only do that for items that will fit into the boot. In particular I would really like a gliding nursing chair for night time feeds but can't seem to find any on the internet in Switzerland at all.

But ongoing we would like to pay the odd visit for bargains which would hopefully be a lot cheaper than in Switzerland.

I just have no idea of where there are good shopping centres etc

We will be living in Zurich .

Any helpful pointers would be most appreciated

ah ok, read your msg before i saw this!
i would definitely bring baby clothes from the uk, coz to buy them new here even in germany or france is mad compared to prices from the likes of primark.
For bigger stuff, you can keep an eye out here on the buy and sell in the forum actually, but to get them new we shopped mostly at baby walz, but went to the one in germany (its cheaper and you get tax back) which is very close to us here in basel:

Oh also of course don't forget to check out Ikea for cots etc. i'm a big fan of Ikea they have nice straight backed chairs too, but as i was saying in the mail, not exactly the nice glider one i was looking for.
