If you have moved from Basel city to Basel land, how difficult was it to do the permit change (I have a EU B permit )

Just pay the fee at Liestal and wait ....

We moved from BS to OW a few years back, and I don't remember it being much of a hassle at all. Just turn up at the relevant office, show them some sort of contract (we bought our place, but I guess a rental agreement would be the norm) for the new address and they took the old and issued new permits within a few days.

Ours were C permits, mind, so maybe it's different, but I think in principle it's not a dissimilar process.

Depends where in Baselland you are, I moved from Basel to Allschwil approximately 1.5years ago, changing the permit was really easy. I just went down to the local Gemeinder office presented myself and about 20 minutes later and a fee of I think 30 Chf's and all was done. If you are near Allschwil the office is on the number 6 tram near Ziegelei.

Don't forget to deregister in Basel Stadt before you try and register in Baselland
