I lost my permit, and I've just found it after I got a new... has anyone ever done this? should I report it to the police? I told them it vanished last time...

Presumably the replacement was issued by your local Gemeinde, so report it to them.

What's the point? Presumably the new one's an exact duplicate, so now you've just got a spare to carry round and leave the other one safe in case you lose it again.

Or just destroy the old one - I can't imagine the police or gemeinde being interested in the fact that you've now found it.

how much does it cost for the replacement? did u have the card type permit?

i lost mine too...

You have to return it to the Police or the Gemeinde. I also lost mine, and when I got to pick up the new one, they told me that if I happened to find the original one, I was not allowed to keep it.
