| Hi all, I have been reading through the Sticky and other relevant threads about Non EU B permit canton/job changes, but still did not have a clear answer and I have to quit for new job by next Monday. Would appreciate anyone can help me with your experience and judgement.
My questions are:
1. Is my B-permit restricted or Open?
2. Do I fall into the Quota regulated category when I change my job now?
3. Whom shall I talk to if I want to get an official answer from Zurich canton regarding the transfer process and any potential problems? (Sorry my German is not good enough to find out the right Nr).
My background information:
From the Visa admission as attached, it's stated that Aufenthaltszweck Befr.36Mt. bis 31.12.2012.
(My current employer extended my contract to 30.06.2012 this year).
But on my plastic B-permit card: it's Aufenthaltsbewilligung (B) Mit Erwerbstaetigkeit. Back side: Selbst. Erwerbstaetigkeit ist bewillingungspflichtig befr. bis 30.06.2012.
Those information above confuses me whether I fall into the Quota category for my new job in another canton.
From the phone tall with one lady from Basel Canton migration office, I am free to change jobs, as long as I come with a valid new contract at next year's renewal. And when I told her that I will change canton as well, she said then I have to de-register in Basel and it should be a problem.
But it's contradictary to what the lawyer of future employer told me: she told me that I have to get official approval from Zurich Canton to allow me moving into Zurich first. But she doesn't see a problem of approving though the official paper has not been granted.
There is great chance that my currrent employer will extend my contract again next year( beginning I signed a permanent open contract, but revised to a 3-year period as told by my boss that there was some issue with the migration office), but it's really great of my future job, and I really want to take the risk but I also can't afford if zurich canton rejects me...
Thanks a lot in advance... | |
