Hi everyone,

I moved to Geneva because my girlfriend is based here. As an EU citizen, with a full time job I didn't think it would be a problem to get my permit. I work for a company based in London and negotiated with them to work from home and they know my new home is in Switzerland.
The permit application documents all state you can start working immediately if you are an EU citizen.
My dossier has been in process quite a while and everytime I called it was being sent to a new office and a few times the people on the phone said I could not start working until I have the permit.

I just received a letter from the Office Cantonal de la Population which asks for my CV, diplomas, and "Lettre de motivation".

Does anyone has any advice on what to put in the "Lettre de motivation"?
My company does not have an office in Switzerland and my work does not involve clients in Switzerland. I am truly doing the same work I was doing for the past 1.5 years in London (IT work).
