US citizen visit while Immigration visa processing

Good Day,

I am a non-EU citizen with an unrestricted B-permit since 2007. My wife is a US citizen and her immigration visa (family reunification) is in process. Is it legally possible for my wife to visit me for a week during the immigration visa process? I know US citizen can visit Switzerland as a tourist for a month without a visa.
