advice for temporary residence (1-2 months) for non eu citizen in France

Hi.
Any advice : Will live in France (in a serviced apartment) while we / they are looking for accommodation in Switzerland - but can this be a problem when they are not EU citizen? What can they do?

Presumably with a Schengen visa, in which no problem.

You can stay in France up to 90 days and then must leave the Schengen area for at least 90 days afterwards. If you're already employed through a Swiss company and just want to stay in France for awhile, you can still do so for 90 days and then you must be living in Switzerland after that.

Since Switzerland is not EU, non-EU people can only live there and not in France, Germany, or Italy. Only EU citizens have the right to live outside of Switzerland while working there.
