May be this question was raised before, but please help me with this.
I am an Indian passport holder, got married recently. Please let me know if my wife should apply here in India for the dependent visa or I should initiate the process in Switzerland.

You should go to the immigration office, they will ask you for a list of documents that you should provide. Most important of the documents is to proof for them that you can support your wife financially in Switzerland, for this you have to provide a bank account statement with decent amount of money ( I think I read once on the forum it was 30,000 CHF minimum) but double check with them, or you show that you earn enough money per month to support both of you.
By the way, they will also need your apartment contract.
When you provide the documents, they normally issue a letter for the Swiss Embassy in India which tells them it is "ok" to issue a visa for your wife, then she can apply for a visa, enter Switzerland and eventually have a B-permit exactly like yours.

Yes.

It should be in English, German, French or Italian. If it is in Indian, then have it translated to any of these languages (the translation office should be recognized by the Swiss Embassy in India, you can ask the Embassy for a list of offices that they recognize).

I wish apply for a Dependent visa for my Indian wife in the canton of Geneva. If you have any further useful information as to which documents etc. should be submitted, do let me know! Also, any idea of how long the process takes after all the necessary paperwork has been submitted?

If you have to apply for the visa, kick start with the legalization process. Depending on your state it would take its own sweet time. This is MUST do before anything starts moving.

I got a confirmation (Ermächtigung) from the migrationsamt that my wife can go and collect visa in Delhi. Not sure if the Delhi embassy might ask for a legalization of the marriage certificate.

Since you have a confirmation for your wife, no further evidence should be needed.
