Please help us understand our ( me and my partner) current situation.
I came here to work via an NGO for,3 years now, on a Legitimation Card. But my contract finishes next month and the Legitimation Card as well. Since December I am now engaged to my partner, he is swiss, we plan to get married in my home country once he gets long leave from work (very far from now). But for so long I have applied for the documents to prove my Civil(Single)Status (will take 4months to be issued) from my country and now we were wondering what permit I may apply for whilst waiting for all the documents to arrive here and apply to register our union.

You can not stay in the country beyond the expiration of your visa. From what you describe it seems your visa isn't even under consideration, ie, you haven't even applied yet. In which case, you can not stay and legally.

Be very careful of overstaying your visa. It could have a negative effect on your chances for a new visa.
