Hi all - this is my first post and I've been searching but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. Please be gentle!

I'm a British citizen and will be marrying my Swiss girlfriend very shortly.

We both live and work in the UK and plan to do so for the foreseeable future but at some point in may like to move to Switzerland.

I understand I will be eligible for a B permit but is this something I need to straight after marriage or can it wait until we have definite plans to move? I like to be organised and quite fancy the idea of getting it done earlier.

B permit is for when you are resident in the country, you can not get it before.
