From UN to private sector (Permits for non EU national)

Dear All,

This the first time I accessed this forum, I would appreciate your adivce on the subject.
My issue is that I have a job with UN, and I want to move to private sector. Working for UN I have the Carte de Legitimation (G type of permit - at least this is the letter that is written on the back of the permit). There are some job ads that I see on the internet, which as a critera for residence permits have permits B, C and G. Looking it this way, I think I am eligible to apply for jobs that accept G permit. I have applied for quite a few of those vacancies, and for some of them I got invitations for interview, but in each interview, I have been advised to check whether someone with a G permit from UN (carte de legitimation) is eligible to apply and can go to work for private sector.
In short my question is: as a holder of the carte de legitimation, can I apply for jobs in the private sector?
For your information : I am from Kosovo, and I have been living in Switzerland for 6 years now (4 years with a student B permit, and 2 years with Carte de legitimation)

I would appreciate your advice.
many thanks
nolav

Nope, it ain't.
If you want to work in the private sector, you will have to secure a "normal" work permit, out of the UN sacred realm.
