Working part-time on dependent visa

Hi I would be moving to Switzerland shortly with my wife. She would be on a dependent visa and I was wondering if she would be allowed to do part-time work?

She has a Masters in Piano Performance and would like to continue to be able to teach in Switzerland if possible either on a private basis or at a school.

Would appreciate advice / help / contacts on the question above as well as where we could rent a piano.

Thank you!

You don't give your nationality but assuming non-EU then the short answer is no. The long answer is not without the required permit.

Hi Swissbob

Yes, we are non-EU citizens. Thanks for your information! So legally she's not allowed to teach private lessons i suppose?

Not without the appropriate work permit.
