Living in Switzerland - assigned to Germany

Hi, I am British and hold a Swiss C permit. I am considering an assignment agreement from my Swiss employer to our German business (for a period of up to two years travelling back to CH each week). I would retain my Swiss employment contract and home. The assignment agreement envisages that I would pay German tax and Swiss social security contributions. Any comments or advice regarding my residence status or taxation would be welcomed. regards Ian
