visa for parents

My wife has been transfered to Zurich and I will be following her. We have 2 Sons aged 2.5 and 1 year old.

My parents have been living with us and taking care of them here in Singapore. We hope to bring them along with us to Zurich.

Has anyone faced a situation like this? Is there a way to get a visa for them, if yes what kind of Visa?

I forgot to add :

Me = Singaporean
Wife = Danish (main applicant)
Kids = Danish born in Singapore
Grand Parents = Indians + Singapore Permenant Residents

Thank you and looking forward to your responses.

Re: visa for parents

I think the only people who could answer this question are the Swiss Embassy or an application by your wife when she gets here and can prove that she can financially support so many dependents.

P.S. Do I qualify for a curry

Re: visa for parents

That sounds like quite a move. Why not find out all about it at the Swiss embassy/consulate in Singapore first?

(I'm aiming for that masala feast, too.)

Re: visa for parents

Hi everyone.
Just reviving this thread.
We did manage to get the B- permit for the whole family including my mother- in -law.
Anybody requiring any kind of assistance and guidance in this regard can contact me. And i got hold of some very efficient legalisation agents in india. So if u r ready to spend few bucks to get the work done in a week, i can also provide you the details of the same.

Till then enjoy the swiss summers

Re: visa for parents

Oh, I'm so glad it all worked out...and really need some davice on how to make that happen. I am a B permit holder, and need to bring my 70 year old mother over from the U.S. I know different rules apply of different countries, but I am impressed by how quickly you got it done. Any advice would be helpful.

Warm Regards!
